THE STORY:
Joltin’ Joe has been around long enough to recognize trouble before it arrives.
That does not mean he avoids it.
Joe is the Barnyard Crew’s seasoned night-shift cowboy, a black goat gone silver around the edges with a weathered hat, a long white goatee, and the particular calm of somebody who has already survived most of the bad ideas currently being suggested.
Where Wired Willie ricochets into a plan, Joe leans back, takes a drink, and watches it develop.
He doesn’t need to be the loudest goat in the barnyard. He doesn’t perform for attention, doesn’t volunteer explanations, and has learned that occasionally the wisest response to somebody saying, “Watch this,” is to move his coffee out of splash range.
Joe is dry, steady, quietly funny, and just irresponsible enough to remain interesting.
He may be seasoned. Nobody said settled.
