THE STORY:
Swayzie Mae does not attend occasions. She arrives at them.
She is the Barnyard Crew’s resident socialite, capable of turning a feed-store run into a luncheon and a backyard gathering into something that apparently requires a hat. Swayzie believes life is simply better with a little ceremony, and if nobody else remembered to provide it, she is perfectly happy to do so herself.
She is glamorous without being cold, theatrical without being snobbish, and thoroughly committed to making an entrance. Give her a glass of wine and she may wander suspiciously close to a microphone, although actual performing duties still belong to Mabel Blue. Swayzie has never considered job descriptions particularly binding.
Underneath all the feathers, pearls, heels, and perfectly unnecessary accessories is a genuinely warm heart. Swayzie likes people. She wants everyone included, everyone looking fabulous, and every ordinary day to feel just a little more important than it did before she arrived.
